I live to find treasures – out junkin, in making memories with my family, on the curb, in a cup of coffee with a friend, anywhere unexpected and especially in God’s word.
Free is one of my favorite words. The best things in life always are.
Parts of me are literally made of steel, but the rest of me is just a big cushy pile of mush.
I could eat pizza for every meal.
My mail is delivered to Midlothian, Texas, but I call home any place my four people are. They are the best.
God gave me a creative mind and a passionate heart. This blog is for your inspiration to see His glory in everything. To embrace the gifts He gave YOU. To seek Him in the details of your world. I believe a good DIY project is the perfect place to get your hands dirty and your heart clean. Here you will find loads of DIY projects for a life and home redeemed. I look forward to walking with you, talking with you and inspiring each other as we journey through our days. Please feel free to reach out with ideas or questions, I adore hearing from you. I really mean that. This little space of mine is nothing without you. I regularly pray for the women that might stumble upon the blog and that makes me a firm believer that you are not here by coincidence. Nope – I believe you are here on purpose, for a purpose and I hope we can flesh that out together. Drop me a line and tell me about yourself!
You may wonder why the name Hunt & Host? Well, it is a model of what the weekends often look like at our house! Garage sales and flea markets, kids in tow are a normal Saturday morning outing. You can find me unloading and cleaning up my found treasures while my hubby cooks a delicious meal for our family to enjoy around the dinner table. It’s what we do and what we love. Hope it resonates with you as well.
Blessings and enjoy!
For even more info on how, when and why this blog was birthed head over to the Happy Birthday To Me post! Thanks friends
My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
