Age wood to look like old barn wood then make a dual use tray from it!
It seems like everyone wants to know how to age wood to look like it just got pulled off the side of a barn! Most of us don’t have an old structure sitting on family farm land needing to be torn down! I sure don’t, but we can all make it look like we do! Follow the tutorial I have for you here on how to DIY age barn wood and then make the most adorable tray with it!
It’s good to remember that highly textured or grainy wood works best for this particular process. I like to save old fence boards for DIYs like this. Once you age your wood and add in that white layered look to one side of your board you will want a good way to show it off; I have a multi use tray coming for you right now!
You will need to get some wooden candle holders at the craft store or order them online from the supply list below. I choose to stain my wooden candle holders, but you could paint them to match your decor if you choose.
Flip it over and layer on some greenery from your yard with taper candles for a sweet and simple centerpiece or table decor. This dual use tray can be used all over your house! Enjoy this easy project and maybe make a few as gifts! Don’t forget to Pin this post for later. thanks friend. Here is the supply list.
