Old lampshades are a dime a dozen at thrift stores and garages sales. One of my favorite (and easiest) projects was from a dollar shade I bought on a whim at a garage sale just because I liked the bones of it. There are fun things to make your lampshade completely new or a few great ways to update out of style lampshades you already have. I even have a few inspirations for alternates to lampshades! What really got me thinking about lampshades recently was my last trip to Round Top…I saw the sight below and was SO in love with the whimsy and fun of it!

In case you haven’t check, new lampshades can be expensive and I can never find the right one…is it a harp or screw type attachment, ughhh. Making over is a great way to personalize your style and save a few bucks.
